Ladies and Gentlemen,
Moved by the following appeal, we join the collection of stearin for Ukrainian soldiers, conducted at the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection of the University of Lodz.
I am appealing to you to donate unnecessary candles or stearin for the needs of the faculty collection in the hall of the building at ul. Narutowicza 59a, next to the reception, there is a container in which you can put candles or stearins. The collection will be carried out until February 13th, then the collected items will be transported to the Department of Biology and Environmental Protection, from where they will be sent to Ukraine.
I kindly ask you for any help in this regard.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Our colleague from Ukraine, on behalf of soldiers fighting on the front, asks for stearin. Using cardboard and tin cans, light and heat sources are made of it.
Moved by such a simple and unusual request, we are launching a stearin collection. Perhaps you have unnecessary remnants of candles left over from Christmas, or simply candles that we did not like with their color or smell. In the hall of building A, there will be a cardboard box where you can leave them. They are very much needed on the Ukrainian front.
We also found a cheap source of stearin: PLN 5 for 1 kg (regular price PLN 18-25 for 1 kg). We managed to buy quite a lot with the money collected so far and it is being transported to Ukraine right now:
