A large group of graduates and honored students was greeted by the Dean of the Faculty of International and Political Studies of the University of Lodz, Dr. hab. Ryszard Machnikowski, prof. UŁ, Vice-Dean for Student Affairs, dr Agata Włodarska-Frykowska, Vice-Dean for Science and International Relations, dr hab. Agnieszka Kisztelińska-Węgrzyńska, prof. of the University of Lodz and a special guest Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the University of Lodz, dr hab. Alina Wróbel, prof. University of Lodz
The event was an excellent opportunity to celebrate the completion of the next stage of the scientific path, which is important in the life of every Graduate.
During the ceremony, the invited guests listened to an inspiring lecture by Karolina Barylska, a graduate of the Faculty of International and Political Studies, on the impact of the pandemic on her scientific and professional life.
Then, the Graduates received awards in the form of Letters of Congratulation from the Dean of the Faculty and the Dean's College, as well as Medals for Distinguished Studies from the Rector of the University of Lodz, while Students who could boast of high academic results received Letters of Congratulation from the Rector of the University of Lodz, prof. dr hab. Elżbieta Żądzińska.
The highlight of the meeting was the award ceremony. "Składaki", for employees of the Faculty. Students anonymously selected their candidates in 9 categories: Fairplayer of the Year, Killer of the Year, Showman of the Year, Pandemic Computer Man, Personality of the Year, Golden Duty, Golden Biceps / Golden Curls, Papa Smurf and Text of the Year.
Awards were given to:
1. Fairplayer of the Year - dr Ernest Kuczyński
2. Killer of the Year - dr hab. Tomasz Kaminski, prof. University of Lodz
3. Showman of the Year - Dr. Marcin Socha
4. Pandemic Computer Engineer - dr hab. Karol Żakowski, prof. University of Lodz
5. Personality of the Year - dr hab. Stanisław Kosmynka, prof. University of Lodz
6. Golden Duty - dr Anna Kowalcze-Pawlik
7. Golden Biceps/Golden Curls - dr Michał Stelmach
8. Papa Smurf - dr hab. Radoslaw Bania, prof. University of Lodz
9. Text of the Year - dr Katarzyna Wasiak
A special award - Crystal Support was awarded to the invaluable, reliable and always helping students and employees of the Faculty, Vice-Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Agata Włodarska-Frykowska.
The end of the Gala, full of smiles and emotions, was crowned with a joint commemorative photo and refreshments, which was a great opportunity to share mutual impressions and reminisce about student times.
